Water?! In Arizona?! Are you freaking out right now because I am too! Yes- the rumors are true! There are parts of Arizona that are not 10000% desert. It’s crazy, but true! Now if you’re reading this and you don’t live in Arizona- disregard the excitement for water, this is nothing new to you but for my fellow Arizonians- this is huge! When Elizabeth first told me she was hoping for a combination of desert and water for the background of her engagement photos, I immediately knew we had to go to Saguaro Lake. Saguaro Lake is one of my favorite hidden gems in Mesa, Arizona. Whenever I drive through the untamed desert and mountains in Mesa, I’m instantly hit with a sense of peace being away from the noise and craziness of the city. Once we got to Saguaro Lake we hiked through some narrow paths along the water, praying we wouldn’t misstep and find ourselves swimming in Saguaro Lake, until we reached our spot. Speaking of missteps, I may not have fallen into the lake but I did slip a couple times during the shoot- oops! I assured Elizabeth and Matthew I’m not normally this clumsy, but I guess the jury is still out on that one haha! Elizabeth and Matthew were so sweet to capture and with their wedding day only a month away, I could feel their absolute excitement for what is to come. I am counting down the days until I get to capture Elizabeth and Matthew’s wedding- I just know it’s going to be an amazing day!
